I would like to point out that Pugh actually hasn’t said anything negative about Wilde. She very well may not care for her, but she also doesn’t seem to be stoking this fire.

For months now, Wilde has denied rumors of tension and acrimony between her and Pugh, while Pugh has remained pointedly very quiet about everything.

Jezebel would find an imbalance of power if it were some random influencer and celebrity pairing, but can't see it in an actual boss and subordinate.

I posted in another thread, but I agree. I think a lot of victims get hung up on convictions because that’s the only kind of justice they’ll get. It’s easier to mentally smooth over some inconsistencies to believe the right person is being punished than accept that the system totally failed and the real attacker is…

So much of our justice system is set up just to “punish someone” that victims sometimes get pushed into the mindset that as long as someone is being punished, they’re getting justice. It also creates kind of a logic loophole that the person being punished must be responsible for their pain, because it’s justice.

Seems kinda predatory, seeking out someone with so little life experience that you would have a clear power imbalance over.

Depending on how likeable the women are, frequently women under 30 are not responsible for their own actions on Jezebel.

Also, Jezebel can drop the attitude that they’re above the manufactured drama. See: every headline about Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde.

If they interact: people project how that interaction shows they hate each other. If they don’t interact: people project how they’re freezing each other out. Maybe they’re just trying to look blank around each other to avoid this shit?

She’d probably just crowd fund whatever the penalty is and end up ahead.

It’s wild that there's this much coverage because despite seeming to maybe not get along, both are handling it so professionally that there's really nothing to talk about.
