I’ll give it this, though — it is wildly entertaining fan fiction. It’s total froth, but I could not put it down.

I have to say, though, sometimes it just doesn’t work. I did that, and it worked great for my two older kids; my youngest (who is now 13) still complains bitterly about every tomato that touches the plate. He will eat some vegetables, but mainly wants plain chicken, plain fish, mashed potatoes, and dry cereal. (Yes —

I don't know, I feel like Amy Poehler would always be welcome.

That was my first thought, too. Otherwise, why wait so long?

Yeah, but Gore also got divorced well after he'd stopped running for things. It was a good ten years after his presidential campaign. And he and Tipper did push the "Look what a great marriage we have" story when he was a candidate.

The Clintons are a little different though, because I think at this point we're all pleasantly surprised that they're still on speaking terms.

Eh, to be fair, none of the designers were complaining about how hard it is to design for non-models. That usually happens during the real-world challenges, but I don’t remember it in this ep. I actually thought the crew members were being unusually difficult to work with.

That reminds me of 1990s-era All My Children, in which Tad Martin had at least three mothers. Possibly four.

Oh, sure. That's what she'd like us to think. Wake up, sheeple!

That really bugged me. He didn't say (or, to be fair, we weren't shown him saying), "We talked all night and we had so much in common." Just that she was beautiful and there was "chemistry."

I didn't like that twist, but I was happy to see Andrew leave because of it. I've always thought he was insufferable, and quite a bit less impressive than he thinks he is.

I started out rooting for Stephen and Spencer, but I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying watching Varner. Clearly, the man came to play.

I just rewatched the first season with my son and he was asking what happened to Rudy. I knew his wife had died but I didn't know he was in a nursing home. That's sad, although I guess to be expected.

I didn't really get the Fishbach thing, though. I mean, I understood why Andrew (I refuse to call him "Savage") might get all sentimental reminiscing about how he met his wife. But the other people? I mean, it wasn't really that great of a story. I thought Andrew was just spinning the way he imagined people would be

Now that you mention it, why aren't there more Hungry Hungry Hippo metaphors?

Exactly. To me, the main result of the execution will be to cause her children yet more pain. It solves nothing.

I sat in the grocery store parking lot for the last half of that because I couldn't bear to turn off the radio and miss the end of the story.

Sometimes I daydream about having another child, but this kind of nonsense makes me SO GLAD that I will never be pregnant or raising a small child again.

And the promos for it have been downright bad. I do like Hanks and Brandt, but I just can't get interested in the premise.

To be fair, the award was actually for season 2, in which she had a lot more to do.
