There’s a gulf, yes.  But when you’re bugging the crap out of people who don’t want to listen (people have that right too, much to the chagrin of know-it-alls), they also can and do complain to their employer.  

Point is that most art includes larges swaths that can be traced back to its influences. This is especially true in movies and music.

You could say that about virtually any film and any filmmaker, including the very good ones. Let’s just use Nolan, since he was brought up in this post:  “Dark Knight” was “Heat” with superhero’s, “Interstellar” was 2001 with newer tech and effects, etc.

It’s crazy to me that people think he would only act out to the degree that he does his workspace.  That kind of behavior is indicative of a deeper problem that isn’t confined solely to one aspect of life.

I agree with virtually everything you wrote, but am having a hard time resolving this against Deadspin’s position on Antonio Brown the player / person when he was with the Steelers and (especially) the Raiders. Wrong. The solution is for the players union to do its job and ensure that the CBA guarantees some kind of life-changing money for players who perform as one of the 5 or 7 best at their position. The NFLPA is a great example of a union that sucks.
