I would like to meet the person who un-ironically wears BMW cuff links.

“Nobody” is the answer we’re looking for, but we’ll also accept “not a fucking soul” and “are you kidding me why are we even asking a question to which ‘nobody’ is the answer?”

“The City That Reads”

Which is mind-boggling, because it’s not like they don’t have the talent on the women’s side of the roster to book something compelling.

“Crowded and deeply boring creative trough” is an incredible understatement. Even the Women’s division, which was white hot 3 months ago, is just meh.

Too true. I’m sure by the first week of August (at the latest!) I’ll see all manner of pumpkin beers on shelves, but none will be available when October actually hits. Weirdly, though, the marzens don’t hit shelves around here until the last week of September (usually), and that’s if you can find any at all.

This is wholly incorrect.  I recently bought a pickup, and I saw a two-inch increase (to three inches!) after I left the dealer’s lot.

I think cutting Rosenthal probably does buy Davey a little bit of time (?), but I don’t think he makes it into next year.

Schrodinger’s Mets? I can see that.  The Mets are both at--and not at--peak Mets, simultaneously, until such a time as their Mets-ing has been observed, which irrevocably changes the nature of the Mets-ing.

Are we seeing peak Mets, here? I’m just not sure this story can get any Mets-ier.

I feel like WaPo’s description was too conservative.

Do we know, for a fact, this isn’t Kevin Durant?

This is criminally under-starred.

I can see that.

It’s funny—I still get worked up about seasonal snacks being released too early (dammnit, stop rushing the season!), but now, in my early 40s, I 100% do not get upset about early beer releases.

*sigh*

That would be amazing, if for no other reason than the seeing the sheer mathematical impossibility of such a thing being defeated by karma.

Counterpoint: I owned a Flame Red ‘05 TJ SE, and when it was clean, it was the most beautiful red of any vehicle I’ve ever seen.  No saturation nonsense in play for that.
