That actually sounds fairly intriguing. I wonder just how much of the old continuity they’ll pull into this, and whether they rehash (or revamp) any of the controversies the original show addressed.

This is not what I thought they meant when they sang about taking a pill in Ibiza.

Considering what they say about protesting a bit too much, he probably prefers “Ms. Mike ‘Nuke the Gays’ Priefer.”

I know I’m a Caps fan and therefore biased, but I’m glad he’s skipping the All-Star Game this year.  Save yourself for this spring, Ovi.

I’ve never heard this phrasing before, and yet--AND YET--I’m pretty sure I know exactly what you’re referring to.

I think there’s a difference between those emails and emails of substance, that provide you with information you actually want/need in order to make a decision.

I’m not going to say that competition was the only cause-because you’re right, WWE was blessed with an overabundance of superstars--but I don’t think competition *didn’t* play a part.

What am I expecting them to do? I’ll be honest, I’m not sure I really know what my expectations are. I’m a casual fan at best, these days, so I don’t know that I’m in the loop enough to really have a feel what how close they can come to WWE (though, admittedly, reaching *that* level seems unlikely).  

If he’s been waiting for the symptons to subside before coming back, I’m guessing we can reasonable assume they *haven’t* subsided...so this poor guy has been living with the headaches, nausea, etc. for almost a year.

In my younger days, I used to drink like that...well, “like that” in that it was a 6-7 days a week party. I was in shape, had a high metabolism, and an even higher alcohol tolerance.  That crew, though...woof.

Maybe you’re right—but one of the knocks Ovi’s detractors have always brought up is how Ovi never had the championship drive, he never had the next level, and was content to win individual accolades.

This could be just be observation bias, but Ovi is playing like he has something to prove this year. I thought maybe he’d take his foot off the gas after getting the Cup and getting that particularly monkey off his back, but he seems to be screaming “FULL SPEED AHEAD VASILY!” as he plows straight through the ice.

Real question: do we really think Ben is still gonna be the QB come 2020? I think if they suck next year (and they probably will see some decline, particularly if they lose Brown), I think maybe Ben says “screw it, I’m hanging it up.” I mean, he’s made those noises already, a few times, in recent years...

There’s the kicker— if they’re going to be more than just PPVs a few times each year, they have to get a deal that puts them on either broadcast TV (unlikely) or something close to basic cable. If this is going to run, on, say...Destination America?...the odds don’t look all that great for success.

You are correct—and as a result of that, he was *serious* competition for WWF for a not-insignificant period of time. In fact, WCW was/is the ONLY promotion that has ever posed a serious threat to Vince.
