It is a spiritual successor to the original. The original was marketed as a technological showcase and this follows that spirit. The original was not designed to be a lightweight Lotus Elise yet that is what peoples’ expectations have morphed into. It’s high-tech, drives superbly and is a practical supercar. Mission

The Lotus Evora is the closest thing you can buy to an NSX

People saying the car isn’t in the spirit of the original seem to forget everything about the original. The OG NSX was a fucking *spaceship* in 1990, using new technology and new ways to utilize materials to create a quick sportscar that could realistically be used every day. It’s only remembered as a pure lightweight

It’s at least 50% better looking. So it’s got that going for it.

original NSX = using new tech in creative ways to produce an everyday sportscar

That one question stating that the NSX is priced like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and the R8 is just plain wrong. NSX base price is $157k, R8 is $169k, Ferrari portofino is $215k and the cheapest lamborghini huracan is $207k. Sure the NSX is not the best performance bargain. If thats what we were after we would all be

On Acura’s site, I just configured a TLX A-Spec in blue and it came to $46k and some change. That same site puts this one “Starting at $48,xxx”. To me, paying an extra few thousand for an exclusive gorgeous paint job and having whatever degree of handbuilt they offer here doesn’t seem like a bad deal. If I were

Its probably even better if they are one of the millions of lucky people who get to go home every night, a place they can charge while they sleep, and wake up with 200-300mi of range!

The Jaguar XF Sportbrake exists and yet you don’t suggest it what is wrong with each and every one of you

Honda’s essentially being forced to do so, while Chevy was seemingly reluctant to do so.

Tesla haters and fanboys really need to stop reading too far into tweets.

You should get greyed for trying to make “Musk-holes” happen.

I grew up in Phoenix. My 240SX has a whole bunch of fine scratches on the windshield following the path of the wipers. I don’t want to replace the windshield because it is the original with reflective film embedded in the glass for the heads-up display, and you can’t get them anymore.

It’s absolutely possible to scour a windshield from wiper use. I have some pretty phenomenal sandpapering going on with my Fiesta ST’s due to all the glacial silt that gets blown around up here. It ends up on the car one way or another, either settling there or getting mixed in with the rain and snow.

Doh, I forgot where I was posting.

It’s also a true SUV, gets worse mileage, isn’t as nice inside, and costs more.

Bringing your bitch ass out of the greys only because I can and you can’t.

And excuses, apparently.

Seems like the real hat tipping goes to Michelin for engineering tires that can hold up under that kind of speed.
