Holy shit is this a massive assumption.

Wow I will admit I haven’t been here in a while, but you’re missing the point entirely when people compare minivans and CUVs. Not only that, but since COVID, air travel is going to be much less common, and this is where minivans come in hard and fast.

My brother has a 2015 Oddy and at any given time has 3 car seats, a

That’s because they bought them for HOV access and commuting, no so much “being green”. I will say though, that PHEVs, at least in my case with the prime, are more efficient when in hybrid mode as they have more electric power on tap.

So buy a Prius Prime, and when the battery runs out keep going at 55mpg.

Real bumpers? HA. Those “real” bumpers do nothing but transfer more impact energy to the passengers. I think you need to read up on why vehicles are built the way they are, you clearly don’t have the costs worked out, or know what half the stuff actually does for you.

Wireless though? That’s news to me, I can’t see it mentioned anywhere on Acura.ca/.com or in any bulletins.

Wireless carplay/android auto is coming in the 2022 MDX (surprised they haven’t released an article on it yet here). My thinking is that the required hardware was pre-built into the units, and you’re paying for the R&D on the software side. Wireless chargers are optional accessories on a lot of Honda and Acura

Trick to carpet extraction in cars, use only hot water in the machine. Spray and agitate the cleaner with a bottle and a brush, then flush it out with the machine until the soap residue stops coming out. If you use the soap in the machine only, you’ll never get all the residue out and the fibers can become crusty.

If you like bob ross, you need to check out Car Cleaning Guru on youtube. Informative and relaxing, with the smoothest british accent around.

The Coupe is getting discontinued, not the Si.

Buzzing and harshness could be from a lack of sound deadening and stiff suspension. Carbon Fiber has better NVH characteristics than Aluminum in the world of bicycles, so it’s not inherently the cause of NVH. Personally, I would rock the absolute shit out of this and deal with any NVH compromises simply because it is

But the Honda has it. It also has adjustable dampers.

The 2009 - 2014 TL was way more than an Accord. SH-AWD, 306hp, and a 6 speed manual. They were very nice to drive and the 2012 and up models fixed the front end issues. Alternatively, painting the beak black on a black car actually looks down right good.

Don’t try a first gen Mazda 3 cabin filter.
1.) Open Glove Box
2.) Bend trim above glove box up and slide out
3.) Undo upper G/B bolts and lower bolts
4.) Start removing G/B and then while half out, disconnect G/B light
5.) Remove console side panel
6.) Remove blower trim panel.
7.) Remove Fuse Box.
8.) Remove some metal

Yeaaaahhh, Those magnetic dampers fail quite frequently, and they`re not cheap. Also, the 2014 - up MDX is faster and handles better than the previous generation. If you go with a 2019 up Elite or A-Spec, you get 265/45R20 tires which are the largest you can get for those cars.

Unless you want cargo space, which the V has the ES300H beat handily. My parents V came with Michelin Energy Saver A/S tires so it wasn’t possible to upgrade the sound without taking a hit on the MPGs.

Yeah, the prime forgoes quite a bit of sound deadening to help with the weight, but I’m okay with it (turn stereo up, problem mostly solved). It’s still on the factory Bridgestones so when those wear out I’ll throw a set of Michelins on and see how things improve.

You still service brakes, you just don’t need to replace them. Servicing is done based on mileage or time.

Same, and the refresh they did makes the current year look good.
