IF you compare driving dynamics between the MDX and it’s competitors from Lexus and Infiniti, it is the least appliance driving of the bunch. You should try driving one, it’s nowhere near as boring as people make it out to be.

No, you can’t. Neither of those offer double wishbone front suspension, which means they’re not riding on the same platforms. Acura isn’t lying when they say they’re using a brand new platform.

The majority are for HVAC, which is something people complained about when it was embedded into the screens.

How is it that a small wrist-rest is worse for hitting objects than a tall shift lever?

On top of that, most of the add ons for German competitors are standard on Acura products, so you don’t need to option up certain features in the first place.

Ok so I guess people aren’t getting it, but the wash lighting you see in these photos is part of the promotional material, it’s not the actual lighting inside the car. Please see the TLX ambient lighting system for a more representative look at the multi-colour lighting modes. This being a prototype and a “tease”

There was 3 - 175lbs dudes, a car, a trailer (totalling 4800lbs) plus a bed full of wheels and tools (easily another 3-400lbs). Please re-read the article. The tacoma has a lower payload capacity than the ridgeline: 1250lbs compared to 1580lbs. In the same body configuration the ridgeline also has a bigger bed.

If you

It was over it’s limits. The 5000lbs rating is with only 2 passengers at 150lbs and minimal cargo - same for pilots, mdx etc.

The gist of my point is that, he used the car do to exactly what you said it can’t do, and it did it without issues, returning decent fuel economy all at the same time. People really like to

If I could kindly direct you to this article...

Looking at alternatives, it does make the most sense in the case of a pick up. You can have a full size bed (or, the size it is spec’d to) or drop in a range extender when necessary and lose a bit of bed space. Seems like a really smart place when you factor anything underneath permanently installed could reduce

Generators can be optimized to produce the most power per fuel quantity though. An Inverter generator designed and built specifically for this purpose could be quite useful, especially if it can run and charge while parked on a job site, or used as a conventional generator. I think this is a really smart move and

Yeah, they’re cutting costs as much as possible. Now, weight is relative, if you run a Class A/B amp it’ll be heavier than say a Class D amp (not that many receivers use Class D amplification but my point stands). I upgraded from a RX-V440 to a RX-V1075 a few years back and am grateful for the addition of HDMI

Why would you want climate buttons on the steering wheel when it has auto climate control? It even auto controls the heated and cooled seats if you have that option.

So how was your test drive?

You would technically need to do that test blind to be able to trust the results. Knowing the difference is enough for your brain to skew the results. That said, lossless isn’t as important to properly produced music. Once you hit 320kbps, the compression and mastering on the track will have a more profound impact on

The rattling was an issue with the subwoofer in the rear deck. The new TLX uses 2 subwoofers on a “telford” angle to cancel out vibrations.

Agreed. If you’re running data saver then I can see the difference, but full fat spotify is good enough to let these systems shine.

Another issue is the Wattage per channel, but not driving all channels. This is becoming common place with Home Theater Receivers where they drive anywhere from 5 to 11 channels, but only test running 1 or 2.

The Tech Package doesn’t have the ELS 3D stereo, only the A-Spec and Platinum Elite (Advanced in US).

No harm trying it out (wear a mask)!
