This review is worthless without pics. I want to see the stroller, pack and play, diaper bags, and car seat in this car all at once. Lets see how much room is left.

I wish you weren’t so fuckin’ awkward bud.

Fuckin’ get after it then!

Looks like you’re in it to win it.

Seen season 8 yet?

“And Volt and Prime don’t compete cause Volt is discontinued.”

Thank you for admitting you were wrong on that point. And I believe the Volt is being redesigned, not outright discontinued.

“PS Tesla Model 3 SR+ has better efficiency and more interior space despite the larger battery:”

Yeah, it also doesn’t have a fuel

Yep, and I wouldn’t recommend BEV ownership to people without Home Chargers.

Is someone watching Letterkenny?

So you’re going to go for a mid day beer, after depleting 150 miles of range by mid day? That math doesn’t add up. You can hypothetical situation yourself out of a lot of things, but for the majority of the public, 140 miles of EV range is more than enough. These cars are also meant to supplement another car with

I don’t think you understand how compromises and competition work. Toyota gave up EV range for hybrid efficiency and cargo/passenger volume. Chevy has more EV range but less cabin space and worse hybrid efficiency. This could be due to the motor/battery/driveline design, or the weight, doesn’t matter - they’ve cars

Uh, you charge the car at HOME. BEVs won’t work without HOME charging. Think about it, you either make the government electrify every stall out in the public, or people install a 240V (or 120 - depending on the car and miles required) in their garage/parkade. I have a 62km commute round trip (38 miles). I borrowed my

You can totally compare a Prime to a Volt, they’re both 4 door PHEV sedans.

The prius can regen brake too...

I mean, do I need to link the EPA numbers? If you don’t exceed the range of the volt, it will be cheaper to operate. If you do, and you want to have some room and go on longer trips, the Prime wins out handily. It’s also cheaper to purchase.

Oh I see what you’re saying. Toyota’s Hybrid system is just more efficient vs the System in the Volt. Could be a bit of both to be honest.

A 13 mpg delta is not a “discrepancy”, it is the draw back of having a PHEV with a larger battery and range - it suffers when it’s in hybrid mode due to the increased mass. Also, the Prime is actually a larger car, with more cargo room and rear seat room. If you need a PHEV just for 1/2 people as a commuter car, the

Not quite. There is a lot of trade offs made when you make a bigger battery. The car with the smaller pack will be more efficient per kw as it doesn’t have to haul around as much battery, and can handle higher pay loads as well. The Prime was initially released as a 4 seater to save weight and maximize it’s range,

And you’re in the 4.9% of people that won’t be able to use this car. The majority of people only need a small range for commuting and errands, why pay for range you’ll never use?

You’re ignoring the EV range, that 45mpg is what they did WITHOUT using the EV range. If they used the battery up and then went into hybrid mode the combined MPG would be over 100. My prime battery isn’t large enough for my full commute, but I’m still averaging 2.4L/100kms right now with steelies/winters and cold

They are adding it to the CRV.

I would save that money and put it to software, lightroom or the likes. You can create this effect in post, and adjust it’s strength to your needs.
