The best thing about it was the multicultural cast - it was almost as if the new companions are the ultimate fuck you to those who voted for Brexit.

I thought that was a barely serviceable premiere. It seemed more interested in introducing the new companions than the new Doctor. The plot’s story and tone were also terrible (too serious, literally too dark and incredibly boring).

I won’t go so far as to say he’s miscast, but he seems out of depth in this role. Despite giving an generally understated and controlled performance, he inexplicably overacts in many scenes (or at least, when the camera gets up close to his face).

You should check out Goodman in BBC’s (and Netflix’s) Black Earth Rising. Goodman plays against type in a very ambitious (if occasionally wordy and/or worthy) series about the Rwanda genocide.

It’s nominative determinism. Nominal has the opposite meaning you intended here.

It’s more a long bad movie broken into 10 pieces of variable quality. Everyone’s mileage will vary, of course, but wow...what a huge let down.

This show felt like it was written on the fly, and wasn’t sure what story it wanted to tell or why. Castle Rock seemed more intent on paying homage than developing its own characters and situations.

Crashing is one of my favorite new shows, and doesn’t get enough love or attention in my view.

I’ve also seen her in Lady in White and Humans, and its hard to believe that its the same actress in all three shows.

I’ve seen the whole season, and I’m still not sure what to make of the show. Although I enjoyed it, I found the sister’s story much more interesting than whatever the hell the rest was supposed to be alluding to.

Sharp Objects would have been so much better if it wasn’t a murder mystery that defied belief or incredulity.

There weren’t two murderers though...the three girls were responsible for the murders while the original death was more girlslaughter.

I really admired everything about Sharp Objects except ‘the murder mystery’...which was god awful. Denouements typically suck because they try and explain away everything....but the show’s reliance on shock value requires us to believe things that neither stand up to scrutiny or merit a closer reading. Why are you assuming that Glenn will remain dead?

Fantastic episode that somehow manages to transcend the show its in and resonate on a whole other level.

God I hope its not the mother - that would be lame. I still suspect its the step father though (to help conceal the crimes of his wife). Either way, the show as ‘mystery’ has been very underwhelming , and has been much more interesting as a psychological study about hiding in plain sight.

Surprised she’s not in the Good Fight (if the rumours are true that the beef was with the previous star of Good Wife and not the King maker producers).

Broke My Own is the standout Shannon Shaw track off Shannon In Nashville- its the reason its the first single.

To those with a better understanding of transexuality: what is the racial composition or ratio of trans people?

Best episode of the season by far. But Zack, you’re coming across as a “pussy” with the constant dining on your own whining.
