Kyle, does it have a headphone / microphone combo jack? For headsets? There is a slew of productivity / business (not to mention music) apps that can't come to the kindle unless there's a headphone jack.

Leslie, can you find out if the new one has a headset jack? (So combined headphones and microphone) - that opens the doors on a ton of apps including the business oriented credit card readers etc

i have a ton of business books to read for class. I would LOVE to hear that read to me in the car instead of having to read it myself. The shit is pretty boring anyway. a dramatized story about enron would be even worse.

this is awesome. it's the perfect combination of pay as you go pricing that consumers want for occassional use, but the contract that the companies want.

also, do you have to buy the audio book separate from the book? is there a robot version that could read off the book? Even if it's a computer voice, that would be good for books that don't have an audio version.
