I’m curious if/how/when lesson plans and class materials get approved in K-12 schools. Do teachers have to submit their plans/materials to anyone? If so, how often? Would someone else have seen this before she delivered it to the students?

Yeah - a dad at my son’s school is the son of a very well known 60's-70's TV star. He is one of the nicest people you could ever meet and doesn’t go around bragging about it. He was not in the spotlight growing up.

Even with the Scientology, the worst you can say about those kids is that they’re a little weird. By all accounts they are kind, decent people who are pretty involved in charities at their young age, and they’re very socially conscious. I can think of much worse to be known for as a child of celebrities.
