Yea the mission was the wrong sort of mission for the Suicide Squad. You send the Squad some place superheros can’t go, to pull a job too dirty for heroes to do, or to steal something.

The “Justice League” cartoon with “Task Force X” did a better job “getting” the point of Suicide Squad. They send Deadshot and company to steal a supervillain’s powerful weapon from the Justice League’s Watchtower’s evidence room, so the U.S. military can reverse engineer it.

Your point is a good one, but the numerical score does represent fairly well the strength of the componentry of a film; script, direction, performances, genre achievements, etc... and with that you can mostly determine which films are “objectively” good and bad.
