While I wholeheartedly agree that we SHOULD have universal single payer healthcare, I just cannot get on any ACA repeal bandwagon.

At my Houston high school, when I was a sophomore, two self-avowed Nazi students beat a Latinx student into a coma (for the full details, read about it here). These were kids who wore Nazi clothing, had Nazi articles on campus, were known Nazis. It just happened, the same way confederate flag t-shirts happened and…
“I was trying to explain that all hospitals are required by law to treat patients in need of emergency care regardless of their ability to pay and that the Republican plan does not change that,”
This story is such a great testament to both the emotional and the monetary costs of having uninsured people. It is cheaper to treat stage 1 colon cancer than stage 4. It is better for the economy to have people starting small businesses, launching successful freelance careers, etc. without having to worry about…
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuck iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, Nazi fucks.
Joe Scarborough has the weirdest head-size to facial feature-size ratio I’ve ever seen.
Loved her for years.
Have them read up on things like this.
If only they had followed Frat protocol. Kick everyone out of the house and call the lawyers to protect the National Fraternity. As a result of their incompetence, the National Fraternity itself will likely be sued and have to settle with the family out of court.
I hope it’s very expensive for everyone involved.
Good god that is just horrible. What an awful group of people.
Our “future leaders”, ladies and gentlemen.
My kids are 5 and 3 and we definitely talk about bullying (how to avoid it AND how not to do it), respecting people’s bodies, consent etc but haven’t embarked yet on dangerous hazing practices of fraternities 😛
I want to know how many parents actually talk to their kids when they are very young about this sort of thing and if it makes a difference in the choices they make in the future. We’ve been talking about this particular incident since it happened. I’m hoping it makes a difference for them.
Buzzfeed is where I read that. The article there is much more in depth, and horrifying. It’s just another example of fraternities being places where humanity is left at the door.
Another commenter directed me to the timeline. Eighty percent of his body’s blood was in his abdominal cavity because they had punched him in the stomach. While he was unconscious. There are no words.
Not just to die. To die a horrible, disoriented, agonisingly painful, slow death.
Gangs are selfish groups. Its about what you can do for the gang, not what the gang can do for you.
I don’t think a single person would be negatively effected if fraternities and sororities were all permanently disbanded forever.
Have you seen the Man from U.N.C.L.E.? It’s a good movie and Cavill was actually not terrible in it. Although, I’ll admit, I went in for Cavill, I came out wanting me some Armie Hammer.
This? This.
