Just finished BattleTech earlier this week - so damn good! I am a sucker for excellent turn-based games and something about the combination of that with the sim/management aspect of running your mercenary crew, outfitting your mechs, etc. just really struck a chord with me. I’m sad that it’s over but with nearly 100

I actually just commented something similar on one of the Dark Souls Remastered articles. I’ve tried playing all these games, and actually played Bloodborne all the way through, but the series just has never clicked with me. I get that a lot of people love them and I keep hoping one will just hit me and I’ll love it,

Another Monster Hunter skeptic here. I’ve tried now with about 3 of the MH games and they just don’t click with me. I don’t doubt that they are great for other people but there are very few games I want to play for hundreds of hours, particularly those without a solid story behind them.

Hate speech and threats? Yeah, those already aren’t protected categories and for good reason.

I just recently got into the Yakuza games, starting with 0 and it is honestly a fantastic start point. I’ve played 0 and 1 Kiwami, and already pre-ordered 2 Kiwami because these games are seriously that good. Might even cave and play 6 before 2 Kiwami releases here.

I’ve been trying to pry myself away from BattleTech since starting it earlier this week but I just can’t...stop... playing...

I’ve had a similar arc to you, Kirk, but without ever actually really liking the series. Played Demon’s Souls, abandoned after about 5 hours. Skipped DS1 and DS2. Got Bloodborne, and committed to it - went all the way through and beat it, and while it was entertaining, just never found that it really endeared itself

I’m curious where you draw the line on bugs/limitations of an original. It’s one thing if we’re talking about, say, Super Mario World - a game that was released on one console in an un-upgradeable cartridge. However, most games today receive many series of patches throughout their lifetime that alter the performance

Finally getting around to Shadow of the Colossus, a game I’ve heard nothing but good things about since its original release in 2005 but just couldn’t muster the motivation to play. Since buying the recent PS4 remake, I figured it was time.

In you avoidance of tackiness, you have become a flaming douche. Congratulations.

Dude, you’ve lost. Just stop.

I can see the argument for a competitive game like Splatoon, but completely disagree on exploration-based games like BotW and Super Mario Odyssey. Both of those were great as portable games, even if BotW did not resonate with me like prior Zelda games have. I won’t deny that pretty much any game is more epic on a big

I don’t think you can infer too much from a single prior instance, but the 3DS XL revision came about 18 months after the original 3DS launch. I would be very surprised to see a revision prior to holiday 2018, and even that seems early.

My situation is 180 degrees from yours: I know another 5 people who have a Switch and we all have commented that we wish the console were cheaper and left the dock as an optional purchase because none of us ever use it on the TV. Screen is plenty big for games that were clearly designed to play in either handheld or

I would definitely be in support of more options to control the amount and frequency of tutorials. Fits with my broader support of options for player control generally: HUD options, difficulty settings/sliders, etc. I realize that these sort of options take resources to implement, but I can say I really appreciate

It’s a bit funny that you think a random internet commentator could bruise my ego, but okay champ. This definitely wasn’t because you issued a petty response to a contextual reading of your original comment. You have a wonderful day.

The effort I’ve had to put into “defending” myself has been laughably minimal given the flimsy pretext of your argument here.

Oh wait, so you’re going to infer something from Azure’s statement, but when an inference is made from yours and you pull a “that’s not technically what I said,” that’s not playing games? Interesting alternate reality you live in there.

No, it suggests that others clearly feel that it invalidates Jason’s opinion and makes him an irrational hater, which is ridiculous. Reviews don’t need to be by fans to pander to fans, and childish taunts don’t reinforce your position.

Nor did Azure say Jason’s dislike of the first Xenoblade was irrelevant to his review here. We can both play that game.
