At my former workplace the ceremony was never on the field. A photo with the bride, groom, and a select few, yes. But never the ceremony.

Unpopular opinion: As someone who worked in sports I think that sports themed weddings are hella tacky. In my experience, they're expensive, and don't have a long open bar time. I've worked a couple too, we brought World Series Trophies up to them.
