Here Amber is amazing too, saying that she regrets calling Kim a "home wrecker," because "....As a woman, you don't blame a woman when your man does you wrong."

That's not entirely true. Amber has been repentant about going for Kim in the past, having literally said that you shouldn't go for the other woman when a man does you wrong.
She never discussed the 17 year old in a negative light. All of the shame was placed on the man. All she said was that the 17 year old is a child; which she is.
THIS. That entire clan is so privileged. Amber is unapologetically amazing when describing her past career, and although Amber has said some things I don't agree with, I think it's great how she owns her past. Being a stripper is nothing to be ashamed of.
I adore you!
You're aware that crime on campus goes unreported a lot, right? Especially rape? Yale has failed, numerous times, to stand with victims of sexual assault. From telling one victim that she was drunk, but not drunk enough to be raped, to the debacle at the Medical School...it's not all sunshine and rainbows in the ivory…
I still call Anna Liffey's "The Jury Box," so I know that feel; of a beloved bar changing names.
My DAD drank at Anchor! How it closed was super shady and sad; it was a true bartenders bar for a long time. I miss Cutlers too.
I'm around Wooster Square and I love it so much more than East Rock. Wooster Square is changing too now, from Italian families and working class townies to Yale students moving in.
On the streets of New Haven off campus. Obviously.
I can see where you're coming from, too. In my comment I just wanted to note how as women, we can never be "right."
PS- Yes. I was so disgusted when my friend told me that. He wasn't trying to gossip or anything, I'm a women's studies MA candidate and we were discussing rape on campus- any college campus.
I had friends from Hamden (and got my first double/double against them when I was playing ball) so I have a soft spot in my heart for them!
I understand how photo shop can be detrimental to body image- especially how the media pressures women to fit into a certain archetype. That being said, I personally loathe how women's bodies are CONSTANTLY up for discussion. All bodies are good bodies, can't we leave it at that?
Were finger waves a thing back then?
Yale loves to paint us townies as the cause of most crimes inflicted onto their student body...but trust me, anecdotal evidence I've been collecting for YEARS says that the biggest danger to a Yale student is not a local. It is another Bulldog. Boola boola!
Go Green Dragons (or Hornets)! I've had a friend who is a Yale Police Officer tell me about a rape victim ON CAMPUS who had her nipples nearly bitten off by her rapist. Yet there weren't any rape reports in the police blotter the next few days.
It's gross to think that people would joke about that. That's not funny, that will never be funny.
I'm New Haven born and bred and this does not suprise me at all. Yale has had a history of epic failures when to comes to how they deal with sexual assaults. I'm happy Yale stepped up and did something about this fraternity, instead of having yet another Bulldog Bungle.
It's a shame that women's bodies, according to society, are on display, and are constantly up for discussion. Our bodies are never seen as being perfect, we are either too fat, too thin, too frail, or too strong.
