“Bro your cholesterol tho?????”
Bro, what about your butthole?

“shout out to The Oasis, one of Chicago’s finest”
Fun fact: I have thrown up in their bathroom.
That clamp is called a capo and it doesn’t mute the strings. It raises the pitch of every string an equal amount so the guitarist can play in a different key signature without using different chord voicings.
That’s a shame. I’ve been a big fan since the initial webseries. I think JD Ryznar was the first narrator who really showed the potential of the format. I still crack up when I see the cut to him answering the call from his mom.
“Hello?”
(smash cut)
Lossy digital video had an inherent aesthetic too, it just wasn’t as visually compelling as that of film. I think that’s the one thing lacking in high definition video and images. You have to know enough to impart a consistent aesthetic after the fact. Like I’ll shoot a lot of test shots on my phone or put old lenses…
“ there really is something glorious about film”
For better or worse, film has an inherent aesthetic. As long as a frame is mostly exposed, it’s going to look stylized. I’m a hobbyist photographer and I mostly shoot on 35mm film because specific film stocks just have that consistent visual stylization.
That is a fun fact! Here’s a clip
I had a very different experience with that game on PC. I was a bad snowboarder and dedicated fan of snowboarding at the time, and I found the game to be difficult to the point of being not really playable. I played it for a solid six months and never figured out how to carry enough momentum from one half pipe wall to…
Are you also one of those people defending Kanye West’s presidential campaign? Anne Heche has far better access to mental healthcare than any of the people in my life who have had to make major sacrifices in order to get help with their mental health issues. If she’s still struggling to the point that we can’t take…
It was never safe. People are just more aware of the danger.
“I’m glad Burns lionized her.”
I’m also all about Chilton’s Like Flies on Sherbert.
Thank you for the suggestion!
I’m glad Maybelle Carter was politically closer to Woody than most. She was one of the most influence American guitarists of the recording era.
Well shit.
Side A of I Am The Cosmos is potentially the best thing anyone affiliated with Big Star ever recorded. I think the album peters out after “Make a Scene” while the three Big Star albums are pretty solid throughout. For being insanely front-loaded, #1 Record still has “When My Baby’s Beside Me” “Give Me Another Chance”…
Aww nuts. That’s disappointing.
Slob on My Knob is my favorite Big Star b-side. That band got interesting after Chris Bell left.
Probably leave Hank off of it on account of the wife brutalizing. Replace him with Loretta.
If there’s one thing I can not stand, it’s dumb motherfuckers mixing up their 00s indie cliches. This sounds like it came from Rilo Kiley’s second album. Bad job, internet.
