The medical establishment is pretty open about admitting they just don’t trust people to moderate themselves and so send out blanket injunctions occasionally. People in this country drank during pregnancy forever. People in Europe continue to do so- it wouldn’t be hard to look up the present data in Europe.

Sure you can- pregnant women in Western Europe drink pretty regularly in pregnancy- lightly, but regularly. The fact they aren’t having any problems will almost certainly be brushed aside here in the States with the words, “OH, in Europe” as though they are an alien species.
