Scion TC, besides being sporty looking there was nothing else appealing about the car. It only averaged 23 mpg, I cracked 30 mpg with it on the highway once in the 8 years my SO owned it, had a ton of road noise, crappy throttle response, liked to do this downshift jerk when making a turn at an intersection or side

Calling your j10 an 80s car is unfair since that design came out in the early 60s and was retro fitted 3 or 4 times from change of manufacturers and regulations it was a disaster in the 80s (I’ve had an 83 J20). Also you are talking about working on cars not reliability and the older a car is basically it is easier to

I’m only a 4x4 away from this list. In Los Angeles a motorcycle can do daily driver duty 90% of time. So my 4 wheel daily driver/light adventure ride is a 96 suburban. Have a mod’ed fox body mustang for the canyon carving, buell firebolt for 2 wheel canyon carving. Kawasaki versys for commuting, and a buell 1125r

None of these pics show an actual boat, it only exsists on the internet. Therefore, who cares?

I’ve seen the chase many times and know about that same down hill run from 3 diffrent angles. Back in the late 80s or early 90s I read an article saying that 8 Mustangs were used. There will never be an accurate answer but I’d put money on it that there was more than 2.

There is no way they did that chase scene/movie with only 2 Mustangs.

What do you gain wearing driving shoes over a regular shoe? Obviously you don’t want something bulgy. I’ll admit wearing my New Balance sneakers my heel gets sore after a while and end up taking it off on road trips. Would having a pair of Pilotis alleviate that?

Since this is an auto it has CFI, ford’s throttle body injection. Only has 180hp instead of 210hp from the more desirable carb version that came with the 5spd. Since it is a clean example I’ll still give a NP

I have an 88 Fox with some work done to it, still stock looking on the outside. I’ve had it for 21 years so it’s real familiar to me and occasionally get thumbs up from other people driving around. However I’ve been to a couple car shows / breakfast cruise-ins that remind me how plain jane and dated it looks. Francis

The added body work didn’t start until 87. 82-86 GTs at most had a little lower front air dam. IMO 85-86 GTs are the best looking Foxes

I’ve done this with my first car, 78 delta 88. The th350 handled it like a champ. I didn’t do it at 70 more like 50 on a deserted road. It just stalls unless you floor it. Then it creates a lot of smoke from the tires. I did this when I knew it was going to the junk yard in a few weeks, the repairs it needed

87-93 there wasn’t a 6cyl. available either, only a 2.3 or 5.0.

Took a drive around the Salton Sea. That is one of the creepiest places on earth. Salton City is a 20th century ghost town, I think you can buy plots for $5K, and Bombay beach looks like something out of Mad Max.

In my experience with 2 kids, don’t bother until 2-3. They will be scared of the sudden jerk and speed of whatever you get they won’t want to use it. After a few months they will get use to that but don’t have the concept of steering or reversing direction. They will bang into stuff and just sit there and spin the

Impossible, “real world driving conditions” vary so much you will never get an accurate result. Example - In 1996 I was living in Massachusetts and had an 88 Mustang 5.0 I never averaged less than 20mpg no matter how I drove. In 2000 I moved to Los Angeles and my average mpg dropped to 15-16mpg. A 20-25% difference

Wouldn’t it be a better to have these warnings in child car seats? Not everybody that buys a car has kids but every one that buys a car seat does. They could have a temp alarm and I’m sure someone could buld in a wifi alarm on the seat that will alert their cell phone.

I don’t think you can call this car a corvette. No traditional manual, mid engine, I’m assuming no transverse leaf springs, and a likely significant jump in price. A better name for it would be Zora.

This doesn’t surprise me. Back in my junk yard days, the subaru wagons made the best yard cars. They took a huge beating compared to most cars that were in the junk yard during the mid 90s.

So... Does this mean there will be a Fusion RS?

yeah... the chevy 20 years ago had 335lbft @ 2800 and the ridgeline has 262 @ 4700 and yes you can make up the difference in gearing but trust me it’s a much more comfortable drive with an engine spinning under 3k than over 4k. I’d be willing to bet the chevy would get better mpg than the honda pulling a similar load.
