This was a well written article and brought up a lot of good points but I don’t agree with unibody trucks being the best option over BOF. In my expreenice it’s best not using something at it’s limit most of the time, that’s when things start to break/wear out quicker. So the Ridgeline can tow 5000 pounds. I take my

I know some one who works for Uber and the white collar perks are ridiculous. Company paid trips to Vegas, extravagant parties, they’re getting paid a shit load of money for a glorified taxi service.

But that base CTS is smaller, has no nav, fake leather, standard shocks, and a 4 banger.

I’ve had a problem with class 10s on AMCs since you can not pull the door all the way open with the handle unless you had 2 wrists to bend your hand >180 degrees. Now if they reversed the direction of the flap it would be 100 times better.

A friend use to have an early 80s J20 which is the same platform as these and for a platform that was around for 25+ years there were many updates to the components that made for some extreme jerry rigging from the factory. For example, I was changing the transmission mount for him and where mount mounted to the

The reason is the general population are idiots and there are a lot of slobs out there. If you live in an apartment building the majority of people do not want to see a Saturn up on jack stands for a couple weeks. That note could have been avoided if you kept a lower profile by taking the car off the jack stands,

I was surprised on how clean the cars were for some place that snows in 83. There isn’t any rot on any of them. No way would that pinto have rockers left in 83. To give you example of how fast cars rusted away back then - while growing up in Massachusetts my dad had a ford f100 he bought from his father in law that

I noticed barbs car being newer than 83 also. I was 9 in 83 and I remember absolutely no one would be caught dead with a bike that had a banana seat on it. There was like one kid that had a Schwinn type bike, he was the youngest of six kids and his family was broke. Everybody else had BMX bikes.

Love seeing boat articles on jalopnik. Hopefully you will cover more affordable performance boats even though not many are made anymore. Would love to see something on the old hydrostreams, checkmates, bajas, formulas, etc.

30mpg?! that is ridiculous for a street bike. I ride a Buell Firebolt XB12R and ride with group of guys that range in HP from 50-185hp. I can tell you on the street 99.5% of the time you are not using more than 80hp no matter what you ride. I get the appeal of a liter bike with that power to weight ratio but only

My father-in-law has a pk 1600 which is the Iranian made version of these. By far the biggest shitbox I’ve ever been in and hitting driving age in 1990 I’ve been in a lot of neglected shitboxes of the mid 70s-mid 80s. The PK 1600 made an AMC Concord or Chevy Monza feel like finely crafted luxurious feats of

LOL, I remember going places a couple times in my dad’s friend C3 vette convertible with my dad, his friend, me on the center console, and my 2 sisters stuffed in the space behind the seats. What was more uncomfortable, for me at least, was our family of 5 stuffed in my dad’s XKE. That sucked cause I couldn’t lay down

Since mirrors are powered in just about every car now and require a “pod” for the mirror to sit in, a cheap probably low res camera will be cheaper than than the mirrors in 99.99% of the cars available now. Question is where are the monitors for these cameras going to be?

Should of had a V8

I’ve done my share of track days and I can tell you there are idiot drivers/riders on the track also. I’ve had friends that were hit by other riders during track days. While there are less varibles on the track, people are riding closer to the edge of their limits then add the range of skill levels I’d say per mile

Here are the rules of the road

A 78 911. Way back in the early 2000s a friend’s roommate had one sitting in the garage for a couple years because of some issue. My friend was a mechanic and got it running for him. We took it for a ride and never being in or driven a 911 I was excited to see what the big deal was. After the drive I didn’t see the

I once saw a ridgeline with the bed full of fire wood and the rear wheels had some serious negative camber going on. I got an old suburban as a 2nd car and while it’s capabilities are more than I need it’s nice doing things that while capable of doing with one of our cars would be a pain in the ass. Towing my

Not sure what you are talking about since both the 86 and 16 suburbans have solid axles. The 86's 3rd row seat is removable and doesn't have a 2nd layer to the floor in the cargo area, chances are it has significantly more cargo space than the 16.

That fold flat 3rd row seat takes up a ton of space. Not only does the seat stay in but they raised the floor in the cargo area so it would be flat with the 3rd seat folded down. I’m sure the old one has another 30 cubic feet of cargo space, over the new one, when the 3rd seat is taken out.
