Indeed! There is a fallacy going around that makeup is inherently patriarchical, but this is quite untrue. It has that conotation, certainly, but makeup is no different in terms of self expression than clothes or tattoos. If some want to wear it or use it as an artistic expression, who should judge that?

Nicely done- I can dig it. As a makeup-wearing lady person who also likes to kick ass (no special powers, just kickboxing), I don’t automatically consider my choice on makeup to be a commentary on the patriarchy. 

Maybe they are using the kale for better traction on their sidewalks and driveways?
