At a certain point NFL fans should just change it to CSPAN and watch an arguably more important tv legal drama

Great read. I think theres a moral argument against replay having to do with our conceptions of fairness. (Its a bit more legal than classically philosophical but bear with me.)
I’m still pissed that Parmenides marked Zeno down at the half-yard line in 435 BC. Replay would have fixed that.
If he’d only knocked a woman unconscious instead, they’d have him back in a month at worst.
SHOW US THE IQ CERTIFICAT!!!!!1!!
I’m sorry you root for the Dodgers. Grew up/still live in the SGV, but never liked the Dodgers, even when they had fairly decent owners. Always had east coast/west coast teams: Yankees/Oakland for the AL, and Giants/Pirates growing up. Sadly, in 1982 became a Cubs fan.(cable/WGN’s fault) So rooting for Yankees or…
*Minor note of contention: it’s Trubinsky.
Apparently he can only shoot when no one is watching, which makes him perfect for the Knicks
I don’t like what this woman has to say about Warren, and she is a bitch.
Even if the play didn’t result in a touchdown, the spot of the ball of 4th down was questionable.
How do we know it wasn’t reviewed in the booth and determined no reason to stop play?
That was my thinking too. Yeah the receiver was clearly in the endzone, but did the ball ever break the plane? Is there another angle that ESPN had that would put an end to the discussion?
No, you’re right. In college football, if the ball doesn’t cross the plane, it’s not a touchdown. It doesn’t matter where the rest of his body is.
But it looks like Moore was pretty squarely in the endzone here
The best thing to do when facing an angry Cub is to lie down and play dead.
He’s a left handed relief pitcher, he’ll still be pitching when today’s unborn grandchildren get to be old enough to care to watch baseball
I love me a dose of morning salt.
Joe Paterno knew in the 70s that Sandusky was raping kids. Forty goddamned years as an assistant to JoePa with Joe knowing that this guy was raping kids and he did nothing.
In Gladwell’s defense, the Penn State coaching staff and administration probably spent more than 10,000 hours raping children and ignoring it, so he’d have to reject the entire premise of one of his own books if he didn’t recognize their expertise in the field.
Dear Max -- it’s true that we can’t expect leaders to know everything. But I think we can expect even the dumbest leader to call the cops when it comes to child rape.
