I was at the Pats game, and they had a state policeman singing the anthem, and I heard the booing after they announced he was a state policeman, and I was like “yea, fuck those guys. they owe me at least $500 for bullshit tickets”.

Booing during the anthem is actually disrespectful.

Because it always needs to be said - Boston sports fans are the fucking worst.

I bought a ticket for Dolphins-Jets, and not because I was that bored on a gorgeous early autumn Sunday. I wanted to see what the players would do during the anthem in light of our drunk-uncle president’s blustery threats and insults, and how those demonstrations might be received up in the stands.

This is a real catch-22 for Miller. He also would’ve been flagged for putting his hands on Taylor after the play had concluded.

If you don’t understand why respecting the anthem is important to the people who are getting beers/in the bathroom during the anthem, I dunno what to tell you.

And god knows all the people who NEED the anthem before domestic sports games to RENEW THEIR PATRIOTISM on a weekly basis are gonna be livid.
