I don't think that micro-usb is tge magical answer. I won't pretend to understand the technical reasons for this, but Acer tablets can only sync over micro-USB. They have a separate connection for charging. I believe the original Xoom worked this way as well. Meanwhile, Samsung and Asus use a proprietary connector

I'm pretty sure the question wasn't directed at you specifically. And again, it's not "literally" useless if you could use it.

Manufacturers just aren't going to make devices on a large scale that work on such a small percentage of machines

AppleTV has Breaking Bad season 5 available through iTunes...

Except in this case it actually is the fastest port on the road?

Huh? Apple was hardly late to the party with USB. Obviously they weren't the first, but in 1998 Windows boxes were still primarily using parallel and serial (and P/S2) connections. I remember buying a G3 tower in 1999, and finding it impossible to find a USB modem to use with it. The guy at the computer store

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "literally". Just because the devices currently available cost more than you'd like doesn't mean that they can't be used.

I remember back in 1999 I got a Nokia 8860, which was the awesomest phone available at the time. There was nothing special about it, except for it's size, it was functionally a 6160 in a much smaller package.

Was this purposefully written to sound needlessly complicated??

Just because Apple isn't meeting EPAT certification, doesn't mean that the product is any less environmentally friendly than any other.

Also, soldered RAM doesn't affect the environmental impact of the product at all. If it wasn't soldered, you'd have a motherboard full of chips. With is soldered, you still just have a motherboard full of chips. And the SSD is fully replaceable, just like any other (it's just not a standard connector, but no

I have to wonder if the choice to glue the battery in makes the product less environmentally friendly than any other laptop. Most other laptops are made from plastic, which can be recycled, but the manufacturing of the casing has to be much worse for the environment than manufacturing an aluminum casing. So,

Strange, that's a picture of the computer the author of this post said was his favorite. He really should have had a picture of a Packard Bell since his favorite was a Macintosh SE.

Yeah! More Xyboard coverage please! I mean, come on!

Yeah, I've also noticed that it works differently on my phone, because you can just click on the "3 replies" button, rather than having to click for each reply on a desktop browser. Bottom line, someone should really be fired. And flogged.

Yeah, but you have to click on 50 or so replies to see the trolling (as well as the useful comments), so it's not so bad!

In addition to being really shitty, the system doesn't seem to even make sense. I was browsing on my phone this afternoon, and saw an article that didn't seem to have as many comments as I would have thought. So, I clicked the "all discussions" button, which reloaded the comments. There were some new ones (as

Samsung gets the same money, you pay more, instead of the carrier making up the difference. But you knew that, right?

This is not a real reply, but am I the only one that thinks the new comment system is absolute garbage?? Why can't I just scroll through a long page of comments? Why do I have to click and click to read replies? Am I doing it wrong??

Looks like an editor to me...
