Sometimes people need their hand forced. Waiting to eliminate the headphone jack until an arbitrary percentage of consumers no longer use wired headphones isn’t the way it works.
You mean 8 years ago? Surprise! Shit changes!
Get with the times. Not supporting a 100 year old standard is just fine.
Bluetooth isn’t proprietary.
I’d bet most Apple customers that need one already have one. Why create more waste?
I would challenge you to tell the difference between Bode qc35 in wired vs. Bluetooth mode (or any other headphones that allow for both). The “inferiority” of Bluetooth is the past. Any difference is no longer discernible.
Bluetooth is “somewhat” recent, but USB ports are not. It’s time to move on from the 100 year old standard.
I mean... my 2008 Toyota has a USB port.
“ZERO EVs”
Okay... and? The e class absolutely destroys model s sales, and is a better car in every way outside of 0-60 times which mean very little to actual owners.
The s class starts nearly 20k higher than the model S. Compare model s sakes against the e class and there’s no contest.
Yes. The majority of smartphone buyers in the United States are idiots.
If Apple released a new Mac Pro in the old cheese grater case I’d buy it on day one. That was by far the best designed tower I’ve ever seen. Beautiful on the inside and functional as fuck.
Lol. What a wanker.
So... what would have been the proper approach in your opinion?
1. It’s not arrogance of manufacturers. It’s the market. Consumers have overwhelmingly spoken and said that headphone jacks aren’t important. Bluetooth audio is fine for casual listening, which is what people do with phones
Exactly. Why has nobody called out Rudy on this absurd “puffery trap” nonsense?
Sure. But he uses a tanning bed. But you’re right, it may not be housed at the White House.
