One does not simply win a championship in Toronto.

None.
As does mine. But I can see the window frame as well, and at least the head of anyone sitting in the back seat.
Do you mind me asking what vehicle you drive? I’d think you should be able to see them, but then I don’t drive the biggest of vehicles so that could be messing with me.
Full disclosure, not a parent. But I can’t even walk around the office without tapping my pockets even though I know I brought everything with me... I can’t imagine leaving a child behind. That said, if you feel you need a reminder, by all means do it.
On the contrary, of all the Canadian teams not named the Maple Leafs to break the Canadian cup drought, I’m most OK with it being the Jets. As long as it’s not the Habs, Sens or ‘nucks I’ll live—if it’s not the Oilers or Flames either I just might manage to keep my lunch down, too.
Marchand was all over Komarov last night trying to kiss him
I like Kadri, but he seriously needs to check himself. He’s far too easy to rile up. The boarding call was questionable imo—arguments to be made on both sides—so what, suck it up. But no, down by two he decides to do something completely boneheaded to essentially put a bow on the game and hand it to the Bruins. A two…
Personally I can get behind not wearing the ear-guards at the NHL level... they seem quite brittle and I can definitely imagine them shattering on impact. Obviously that won’t happen at your local pickup game but the NHL isn’t playing pickup games*.
If you can’t see white ice between the line and the puck it’s not a goal.
Yes. If you’re too terrified to pass the truck, get over and get behind it. You’re far better off there. You can stop faster than they can, so unless you’re right up their ass and not paying attention you’re fine... and they can’t move over into you. Guess what, when you’re holding up traffic by refusing to go past,…
They have enough players but not enough nationalities. Which isn’t the fault of the NHL.
Honestly my biggest disappointment is the fact that they had a chance at a threepeat gold this year. Those don’t come along often, and it almost certainly would have happened had NHLers gone... remember McDavid would have been on the team this year, among others. Team Canada might actually have been stronger this time…
Well, there are a number of Euro players who could probably squeak into the NHL but would rather stay home and have a bigger role.
Ben Scrivens failed nobody. Kinda hard to be responsible for failure when you’re out with an injury.
I went into the tournament thinking I’d be happy with reaching the medal round, chuffed with bronze. So yeah, I’m OK with it.
I think a lot of the gap would be the amout of events in the summer that are sort of “brute force” events, where more of the winter events are technique. For example I think you’d have a lot better shot at catching a doping speed skater than snowboarder.
You forgot about the SCF.
Doesn’t matter. As soon as the aircraft moves (and it will, because the thrust is generated against the air rather than the ground), it doesn’t matter how fast the belt turns... the wheels are always turning faster. The basic premise of the experiment is impossible.
That’s the trick. If the conveyor belt does indeed match the wheel speed, the plane is stationary and will not take off. But this situation will never arise, because the wheels are not powered. The thrust, be it from jet or propeller, bears directly on the air itself and the aircraft will begin accelerating. The…
