Not a story, but I still chuckle (for some reason, maybe because I’m a horrible person) watching this video of my friend in the silver Corolla trying not to hit some generic crossover that spun out in front of him.

I sometimes stop by Des Moines Country Club on my way in/out of town, the parking lot there rarely disappoints.
Apparently not.
That facelifted Mulsanne grill is still criminally hideous.
Thanks, and yeah the variety of stuff I see parked along there is amazing. FJ40s, 993s, imported Skylines, a few days ago it was a mint ‘68 Dodge Polara coupe. Surprisingly good place for spotting.
They didn’t even change the air vents or move the key down to behind the shifter, because apparently nothing is sacred.
Gas wasn’t quite that bad, it was the repairs that got you.
...this man is onto something.
Since apparently a large number of people think I’m complaining while simultaneously being Warren Buffet’s grandchild.
Of course there’s a snob factor. I had an A8 as a first car; that’s ridiculous and over the top and stupid, and I recognize that as much as anyone (Even if it was 15 years old).
Right?
I’m definitely not whining about it, that’s for sure. That Audi was a phenomenal car and way nicer that what I deserved. I just thought it was hilarious that my daad convinced himself it was less snooty than a BMW wagon.
I do think I got the better end of the deal, though.
I desperately wanted one of these to be my first car a few years back, but my parents determined that a BMW was far too snobby and pretentious of a car for them to send their child to school in.
My comment originally contained a correction to the article regarding the vehicle, I decided it was in poor taste and “missing the point” so I deleted that part but forgot to delete the word “regardless”
I guess not.
A tragic situation regardless.
I was more confused by the fact that I’m a 19y/o college sophomore and just got accused by a random internet commenter of being an out-of-touch, uneducated old person based on a joke about a misread word.
