Daryl is at a point in his life where having another child makes sense. He’s older, he’s established, his life is secure. WhiJo just happens to be the person he is with.

This episode made me feel like I’d just watched a season’s penultimate episode of Bojack Horseman.

It feels like a frustratingly manufactured drama. It’s hard to have a straightforward relationship with the ‘kids’ question when you’re gay, because as soon as you realize you are it gets complicated, and stays complicated, and it gets complicated for your parents who might’ve wanted grand kids, and ugh.

I cried like 4 times during that. I just feel for Rebecca, man. I know what she’s doing is wrong and it physically hurt me to watch her say those things to her friends in the opening scene, but I just want things to get better for her.

This is also the reasoning behind a queer couple breaking up on Supergirl. It’s not my favorite.

I laughed when Valencia and Heather admitted that Paula tends to ignore her actual children (which, granted, it could have been that that’s just part of her life the viewers don’t see, but that was already the impression one would get from watching the show).

They do make a great couple, limb-wise. Hector with his naturally silky arms, Heather with her ridiculously long legs.

That’s really not relevant. At all. White Josh is an adult and he was an adult when he met Darryl.

If Tom Cruise’s romantic leads can consistently be in their 20s, then let’s not make simple gay male sexuality predatory because there is an age gap. At least CXG has acknowledged there is an age gap, unlike every Hollywood movie ever.

1.) I am pissed at all of Rebecca’s friends for not bringing Dr Akopian in to help with the intervention.

I don’t know what to say, honestly I’m sort of a mess after that episode. I literally started yelling when Rebecca and Greg’s dad starting making out.

You can’t get a BA at a community college in California. She probably has like 10 AA degrees.

I was thinking about how White Josh has yet to sing, the other day. So far he’s sat outside things, including his pondering of why all of his friends are obsessed with Rebecca. I think that’s part of it. And while it might be getting deeper than intended, I think him joining in with Where’s Rebecca Bunch? is a nod to

It started off sounding like a parody of a Drake/Jeremih type song until the Zoo part which was straight Lonely Island

Rebecca Bojack Bloom

to be fair but also pedantic, the behind-the-scenes reason White Josh isn’t singing is that David Hull wasn’t initially in the scene and hadn’t been given the song in advance

I agree with the White Josh bit. As great as his relationship with Daryl is, Daryl’s assessment of him in the premiere hit the nail on the head. He does seem to think he’s better and more “normal” than others to the point he seems to lack the ability to understand the value of other people.

Case in point: White Josh

How many starfish did she kill?

Maybe my least-liked ep of CXGF so far. Characters not behaving like themselves...

A tip: If you have to fly long-haul economy, choose Emirates if it’s an option! I had to fly a total of 24 hours from Sao Paulo to Singapore (with a plane change in Dubai) and wondered how I’d make it without losing my mind - then I saw that, in addition to the box sets of several shows I’ve been meaning to see, they
