Chrysler & Fiat are a pretty good case for “two wrongs don’t make a right”

My Dad once owned a Dodge Diplomat, he complained so much about how horrible that car was that I’ve never been able to consider a Dodge product without seriously second guessing the reliability. He would see a Dodge and then talk about that terrible Dodge he once owned, he was still complaining until he died in 2019.

Range anxiety: I don’t drive much anymore since I work from home right now, but I like to use my car for roadtrips multiple times a year, and all that extra planning to find charging stations and having to wait around for a charge is really unappealing. Then there’s the potential of the miss calculating the range and

Very true, the guy has tried, but unfortunately his bad reputation has sort of tarnished his efforts.

It’s a problem of circular logic: People don’t want to buy an EV until they have better range, faster charging, and charging stations are as prevalent as gas stations; but companies/the government won’t put time and money into building that much infrastructure and developing better technology until people buy WAY MORE

I think the butt lift made the biggest difference.

I originally didn’t post this, because I knew someone else would. The thing is, it’s not really unexpected that it has held up so long, since it was based very much on the design of the original classic... however on that same note, it outlasted quite a few other retro inspired cars like the 2005 Mustang, the 02-05

Middle Tennessee: it use to be Saturn, but they don’t exist anymore. So I guess you could go with the Nissan Sentra, because of the Nissan planet and the big corporate office...

This one bugs me, Mach-E was a perfectly fine name and would work great on it’s own, but then they stuck Mustang on there like they were trying to piss off mustang fans or just grab attention by doing something so dumb that it made headlines.

Totally agree...

I’m 90% sure it was the Crossfire, because I really liked the car at the time and then couldn’t unsee the image of a dog dropping a deuce afterwards.

Maybe not an actual animal, but I think the face-lift to the FR-S/86 made it look like a muppet.

I know people always say those Camaros look like a catfish, but I’ve always thought it was more like a cockroach.

For example, I have always thought the Chrysler Crossfire looked an awful lot like a shitting dog.

I was going to say something along the lines of, “They don’t make affordable new cars anymore, you should find something used.”

Just don’t recline... that’s all I ask.

Very true, the corporate design philosophy has definitely killed or at least neutered a lot of great concepts.

While it’s a cool looking car, that design is way too far out there to make it to production in an age where everything looks mostly the same and companies are scared of taking chances.

The old Battlezone tanks were great
