I’ve got 50k on my XC90 and it feels good as new. The mid 00's Volvos definitely had interior longevity issues but the newest gen stuff is very well built.

Seems like it’s a set of decent tires and a more aggressive suspension tune away from a really fun little ride. So budget in another $2000  and you’re good to go?

Or maybe wait and see? Maybe VW hires a really good team and releases an affordable, fun, and capable EV offroaders? I guess the alternative would be to resurrect the Scout brand as a UTV in the same vein as the Roxor.

Recently on a work trip to Las Vegas I rented a Willy’s Wrangler through Turo. 30 minutes outside of Vegas there’s a whole bunch of amazing off roading. Spent 11 hours in the desert exploring, all for a little over $120 with insurance included. Highly recommended.

The sliding doors were available on the B-max but I didn’t think they came on the C-Max. Not sure if making it more van like was a recipe for success in the US. I think it was because most Ford dealers just didn’t want to sell them. They’d rather get people into F150s. 

Great car but they made the mistake of putting that battery right in the trunk, effectively eliminating the practicality. That’s why I picked up a C-max Energi. Same drivetrain, hatchback versatility. Wish they never got rid of the C-max. I adored that car.

Nice work! Looks waaay better than the last bike you recovered and now you’ve got yourself a sick little street fighter. I would’ve gone with some Kenda K-rad tires but that’s what’s fun about building bikes, you get to make it unique to you. 

I love the Bronco sport but feel like it’s a bit overpriced especially considering now you can get a fully loaded Maverick these days for the low 30s. That’s one with the 2.0t vs the sport’s 3 cyl. My understanding is you only get the trick differential on the highest level Honda trims where on Acura you get it by default. I could be wrong though!

Owned a 2017 MDX with the Tech package for a little more than a year. Just ended up trading it in for an XC90. The move with Acuras is to buy them used as they end up being about the same price as a Pilot with the same mileage. You get SH-AWD which makes a BIG difference, nicer interior, plus the ELS sound system…

Was about to say this. Dude likely landed at the dealership down the road who just canned their GM. Auto dealerships are like the Catholic Church. They just move people around when they fuck up. 

Right?! People forget that Chrysler at the time was pretty damn innovative and was doing well as a company. MB came in and fucked them up good. Imagine if they kept things going with the Cab Forward designs?

Had a Stratus of the same vintage that I got for $1200. The best cheapo car I’ve ever owned. Comfy, smooth ride, handled well, and had a surprisingly good stereo with a 12 disc cd changer. NP since it’s a runner. If you get a year out of it, you’ve come out ahead.
