I think RJ gets all of Star Wars, warts and all, kookiness and all, in a way JJ never could.

While I ‘used’ to refer to them capitalized, Porgs, your section on bantha’s won me over. That is to say, if there is any sentience, then capitalize away. So, you have Wookiee, and bantha. I have now changed my usage to... porg.

All this just makes me slightly ‘scared’ because it’s back to JJ who will be presiding over the ‘conclusion’.

Seconded. Valerian’s opener is so hopeful and optimistic. The fact that it starts out with ‘actual’ footage was what got a lump in my throat to begin with. It still stands out as one of the best moments of the year, much less totally beats out the market scene.

I wish he didn’t cut away so soon when it finally did happen, when it went lights-out. I was just about to panic-gasp at that moment when it played, but they cut away to a different shot. They could have stayed in that shot for a second or two, before cutting away.
