I love big band Halloween music. There’s something extra spooky when you know all the artists involved are now deceased. I can understand why all modern horror movies like to play them slowed down for their trailers.
Kam’s, the U of I’s shittiest campus dive bar, is closing down tomorrow and I can think of no better ending to it than the Homecoming crowd of drunk dads burning it down tonight after the most improbable victory in the program’s history.
It sounds like an idea for a sketch on SNL more than a concept that can carry multiple episodes (much less multiple seasons) of a TV show. But hey, all TV is in the execution and I’m not a television producer so what do I know.
It’s weird how many people were immediately discussing if Brown broke the law by recording a call compared to when IK Enemkpali broke Geno Smith’s jaw which is, to my knowledge, also a crime. Why is recording a call so much worse for people?

The final three episodes of The Wire’s fourth season: A New Day, That’s Got His Own, Final Grades does everything that made the series great. Amazing drama, Greek tragedy, searing societal criticism, political commentary, cops and robbers fun, and Omar doing Omar stuff all neatly wrapped up in one package.
