R.I.P. Portland Stags

Absolute best movie for the political moment, though?

Hell, I got flustered just reading that!

Me, I’m about ready for a fifth.

Thanks, I think!

“Skilsaw” is a brand name, isn’t it?  Or is there such a thing as a “skill saw”?

“What if Detroit were a person?”

I love Laurence Fishburne and look forward to this, but specifically wanted to note that I recently watched “Last Flag Flying” and really liked him in it... and also loved that it was a story about three old Vietnam War vets, and the first time I ever saw Fishburne was as the young guy on the boat in “Apocalypse

I’m with you. And I’ll note that if he were subtle, he’d never have made whatever impact he has. Sure, I wish he did things a little differently at times, but I staunchly believe that we desperately need activists like him in our culture, and I’m glad we have him doing his thing, however imperfectly.

Allegedly.

You hit the nail on the head. And for what it’s worth, I think “unequivocal consent” would be an even better phrasing for this.

I think this right here was the thrust of the original question, not whether to use toilet seat covers but how to use them. And Magary didn’t even bother answering it. And neither will I.

The explanation I read indicated that the flag is thrown only when the snapper’s fiddling with the ball draws the defense offside.  That happened on the FG attempt -- hence the flag -- but not on the XP.

Next time I hit a deer, I’ll remember that hunters killed off all the apex predators who used to keep those pesky deer populations under control.

“Both teams played hard.”

“Nice niche!”

I wholeheartedly agree with what you’ve said here about this piece, but I remain intractably skeptical about any data that comes from Netflix itself, because of the lack of detail or nuance the company provides beyond a big number (in this case, “more than 80 million subscribers”).

I too am delighted to see this pic of “Cump” Sherman, whose statue should replace every one of Lee, Davis, et al.
