Not since The Expanse have I been given such a level of description to which types of synth music are being played.

Both articles mention the ten year ago premiere of the show and I was playing off the strange conspiratorial feel of the show but we can just ignore that latter thing and just focus on the former.

Weirdly we just started rewatching GF about a week ago and there have been two articles (this one and one on slashfilm) talking about its legacy.

There's a lot to be said for consistency. 

Seeing in the theater the first half to 2/3 of the movie was going great, the sense of dread was really working, the 8mm movies were frightening, it was like “this will be some prime nightmare fuel for several days”.

Despite this review, I'm hoping this is an unmitigated success. Sinister was really well set up, but the last 3rd marred what was going to be my favorite horror movie of its year. The hope is they take what worked from Sinister but this time stick the landing.

After Haggis became a huge critic of them when he quit, Co$ will be happy with this news.

Considering his activities in the past couple of years, maybe we shouldn’t be quick to offer Eddie Deezen any apologies.

The first five or so minutes (before the opening credits) were a lot of fun. The rest of the movie was just another shitty TCM remake.

That seems to be what I often run into myself, sites that don’t fill the void.

Been struggling with how management of this site has been hacking off its own limbs for a while now. I want to find a place that's closer to what AV Club used to be. Any leads?

Mando season one has some terrible dialogue and really repetitive use of tropes. Wasn’t it like 3 of the first 4 eps had a gunshot fake out (Bang! The shooter is actually the shootee) in the climactic moment?

Him grabbing a rando then snapping the neck of said rando's son when he called out for his dad was more silly than menacing. 

And don’t forget the laser gate that Obi Wan struggled with, when it looked like they could have easily walk around it.
