Same thing I wanted from the 1st gen: a modern 924/944/968. Front engine, 2 seats, hatch in back. Keep it light. I’m OK with NA, but dropping the 2.4L Turbo in probably makes sense.

As somebody who absolutely HATES the look of the BMW/Merc SUV “Coupes”, I gotta admit that I think this one is handsome.  Well done, Audi.

The public school teacher was especially horrified because there was a public school teacher on that flight. I was in high school and one of my teachers had applied for that “Teacher in Space Program”.

What also applies is “Slower Traffic Keep Right”.

That’s the old paradigm, and I really don’t believe it’s true anymore. The only people buying manuals nowadays are the ones that just REALLY REALLY prefer driving manual transmissions. Those people are making that choice for sporty reasons not budget reasons. I can’t speak for everybody, but I want my MT with the

When are they going to lift it? Because of the AWD, I’m anticipating that this hatchback becomes the next CX-3 (?) with a lift and some claddings, just like the Impreza becomes the Crosstrek.  You heard it here first. Wouldn’t be my choice of vehicle, but I think it would be a great seller for the brand.

On our BMW X1, even the slowest setting is way too fast for our liking. No true “intermittent” option like I’m used to form Japanese brands.

Normality. Tesla 3 powertrain but with ‘normal’ controls: wipers, HVAC, etc. Oh, and sub $30k pricing for 200-mile range. That’s the sweet spot for me.

Tax season should be fun with unpaid IRS workers.

For me:

The looks are fine. Partnering with BMW is fine. Targeting Cayman dynamics is awesome, perfect. The lack of a manual transmission is inexcusable.

Accurate math, but poor assumptions.  Most “Large” pizzas these days are 14" or maybe 16".  The few places that offer 18" advertise it as an “Extra Large”

A colleague’s Tesla Model 3. Even in basic form it is a rocketship that handles like a sportscar. Truly impressive powertrain and chassis.

No questions! I’ve been driving my 1st-shipment 2014 Mazda6 for just a few weeks shy of 6 years now and it’s been brilliant. 1st auto tranny I’ve owned in 32 years of driving and for a regular torque-converter 6AT it is excellent. (Typical horrendous LA commute.)

Hey! I resemble that remark.  But I long now for a Boxster, fondly recalling the 7 years I drove a Miata.  And then there was the time I climbed - quite comfortably! - behind the wheel of an Exige at an auto show..... although I may or may not have required assistance getting out.  Allegedly.

I had that color, too, a 2001 Base! Put a smile on my face every time I drove it.

Are we talking about the same product planners that thought they could sell a $75k Chevy Volt [Cadillac ELR] against the Tesla Model S?

VW Golf AllTrack.  Only non-SUV AWD wagon you can get with a stick.

Still waiting for my SWB, two-door, heir-to-928 version.  Intellectually, I know that would creep into the Grand Touring 911 arena, but I can’t help what I want.

I know people there and have followed their saga with interest the past couple years but - even IF they can bring the vehicle to market - who the heck is going to buy that thing? It’s like a hideous, massive, super-fast, super-luxury minivan. It’s $300,000. Three hundred thousand dollars. Yet supposedly they have
