3 cars, 2 running.  The 10-year-old 128i I bought last summer is doing like 10-year-old German cars do: it’s down with a not-insignificant oil leak I haven’t had time to look into yet.

How do you put a price on PERFECTION?

The gorgeousness!.... I can’t take it.  Wow

I usually use the recline function, if available, so I’m definitely in the “if the seat reclines, it’s ok to use it” camp.  For me it’s not my back so much as not having my head roll around so much.  Often the upright position is such that if trying to sleep my head keeps falling forward.  Reclining solves that.

“Officer I did NOT punch that person in the stomach. I only punched their shirt.”

Pretty sure that if you are a 1%er, you DO have another house somewhere else.  Probably 4 or more.

If that’s your #1 criteria, then Silver or Tan are best. (Black is worst)

The gun inaccuracy is disturbing, given that the Air Force has long claimed that these F35's would/could effectively take over the CAS role from A-10's. You really don’t want a scatter gun when you are aiming near your own troops.

Data point: I paid $21,500 for my 2001 base Miata 19 years ago.

Unpopular take (?): I think these and the E60 sedans have aged remarkably well.  I think they look quite handsome now. I’d totally rock this. NP

Reverse: I was a freshman in high school and remember it well. One of my teachers had applied for that ‘Teacher in Space’ ride, and he was visibly shaken that day.

Didn’t BMW do the same thing with the recent 320i?  Same engine as the 328i but downgraded power output due only to different mapping?

“Slow car fast! says the lady with the AMG Mercedes...

Diff’rent strokes for diff’rent folks.  Some prefer wrenching to driving; some prefer driving to wrenching; a lot of us are somewhere in the middle. It’s all good.

Neutral: 2016 X1 owner here (wife’s car), since you asked. That vehicle has been perfect for us; we love it! It does everything well: super easy to get in and out of, great visibility, nimble and easy to park, decent fuel economy, enough power to get out of it’s own way, comfortable seating for 4, handling better than

Good call! Thanks, Kristen.

This.

Saw this at the LA Auto show a couple of weeks back, and... liked it. Wasn’t expecting to, but I did. Thought it looked better in person. We already have a FWD-based X1 that we love, so I’m already over that hurdle. I’ve got no problem with this being FWD to compete with the A3 and CLA/A220. But that price is going to

Sloan was excellent and I also really like the band Pure from that era. I lived in Detroit for 12 years and Windsor-based 89X played a lot of Canadian bands.

On the X7, I actually find the lower fascia area more objectionable than the big grille. I’m not sure why everybody is shocked by the big BMW grilles these days; we’ve had similarly massive Audi grilles for nearly two decades already and we’ve come to accept those...
