The plug is too close to the sidewall and is unsafe. A tire plug at that location should only be a temporary fix.

Looks like you need a new tire, the way those plugs work will damage the belts when you put them in. Might as will get some aggressive retreds to throw on it now.

No rubber cement?

Or you could just.......... ^

I always carry a plug kit and an inflator in my vehicles. Especially in my truck. It’s a hell of a lot easier to get a plug put in, then it is to get the spare tire out from under the bed. Other than listening to the pump struggle for 10 minutes to get air in the tire, it’s a quick and painless fix

The grease, while likely reducing the effort required to ream the hole, was probably not such a good idea. Those rope plugs have a self vulcanizing goop on them and I would suspect the grease may interfere with that.

A patch from the inside is till the better solution. A plug is not the safest way to go, but I have used them. I stopped using them I found that places like Belle Tire and Discount Tire would patch them for free.

Oh boy, I can’t wait for the article you write when you go to get gas. “I filled up my tank of gas, and it only took 5 minutes!”

Most tire shops won’t patch that far out on the tread.

Those work ok in a pinch, but you’re gonna want to go get a proper patch unless you like intermittent loss of tire pressure or coming out to a parking lot and finding flat tires. They aren’t really great permanent solutions.

Hey sweetie. Look around real quick. This is what poor life choices look like.

This is cringe worthy even without the trailer/trailer loading.

I go with Wilford Brimely. “No Pops, those are insulin syringes. Let me, umm, get them out of here. They’re probably collectors items.”

I hope my kids love me enough to do something like that for me someday. Seeing as how they are the reason why I don’t and probably won’t ever have my dream car. lol

Maybe if someone is starting an executive car & limo service...

A tinted bulb is not just as bright as the equivalent non tinted bulb. Jalopnik was the wrong place to post this.

I can’t see the video at work, but NO factory vehicle (that I’ve ever driven) allows you to keep the fog lights on with the high beams. It’s a legal thing (I forget what the law is exactly, but it basically doesn’t allow that combination to be a thing.)

I had to override the wiring on my old Outback to allow me to keep

Let me tell you a secret, little brother. Every single one of those pennies was, at one point, in my truck. You probably have some of my truck pennies in your pocket right now.

Doing this stuff in this day and age with modern tech could be so wicked. cameras are small enough you could provide multiple camera views and you could totally do weaponry like the last gen nfs games with boosts and emp and spike strips.
