Uhaul car hauler is galvanized steel and weighs 2200#. Jeep probably weighs around 2500#.

He made it to the Ohio border. Lookout Buckeyes!

I have read all but, “Love, Sex, and Tractors”.

Instagram video shows that he’s gone over 60 miles now. Somewhere between Ann Arbor and Jackson, MI. Bonus points for the audio sounding like the inside of a B17 bomber AFTER being hit by anti-aircraft fire.

In fact, the ratchet straps made to cinch the front wheels down on the U-haul can be used for this exact purpose (with a couple of extra tow straps, heavy rope, or chain)

Great read that any jalop would enjoy:

Listening now. Thanks for the tip. Good stuff there.

At least you have a chase vehicle, are going because you want to, and have some place to go home to regardless of the outcome.

Perspective:

I don’t disagree with anything you said. You reinforce my point.

I daily drove a few huge early 1970's Chryslers up until about 13 years ago. My primary issues were navigating parking garages and parallel parking. Twisty country roads were a joy and heavy traffic was rarely an issue.

Have you ever driven one? It’s like piloting a freighter suspended from a cloud while sitting on your couch. Plus you can drive without your knees, elbows, and arms in contact with anything which is hard to find in any modern-day vehicles. Plus you get the joy of using your right hand to stabilize the big-gulp

I’ll take the little 1950's 411 in the middle, please.

Mwa ha ha. Thanks a TON.

Oh, the early ‘70s... where climate controls were put where she won’t be able to fiddle with them unless she’s already leaned over to perform her other womanly duties.

I am guessing the synchro is out of place or the shifter fork is in the wrong slot. Could be crud blocking the shifter fork rail too.

Pro tip: You would have benefited from leaving it in high range and letting the tires spin fast. It throws the mud out of the tread and will give you a better bite. You also would not have needed to rev it so high.

Any ziploc quart size purchased in 2004 will do.
