I’m betting the full sensory experience (sight, sound, smell, feel, maybe even taste) of the Type 35 makes it FEEL faster.

You bring up a good point. What if the regulation that doomed these cars is removed?
Well I’ll be.... a wallaby
If approached, just keep your hand in your pocket.
I was just thinking that I miss the old “Down on the Street” posts by Murilee Martin from about the jalopnik days of yore.... and here you come with several months’ worth in one post.
Back in 2011, Jonathan Klinger of Hagerty Insurance in Traverse City, MI set off to daily drive a Ford Model A for an entire year (including a few road-trips around the Midwest to visit family & friends). He blogged the experience called “365 Days of A” and repeatedly remarked how well the Model A drove in the snow…
Slightly dirty, wearing red, a straight grille, and huge headlights
Thanks for the shout out. My best understanding is that skinny tires will claw and dig until you hit bottom. If you’re in a mud pit with no bottom that’s going to be a problem. But for most backwoods hooning, skinny tires will suit you just fine.
If you swap them side for side you’ll be golden.
Looks like a locomotive cab. Where does the coal go?
That’s a cool M715. If I was gaming for a divorce in my future, I’d bid on it.
Power King Super Traction II - 7.00-15 on 5x15 trailer rims. Note that the DOT markings on the tire indicate D503, so I suspect they are the same tire just with different branding. I’ve been waiting 12 years to find and buy these tires. I’m very happy with the appearance and my ability to climb steep muddy grades.
Note the ziploc bag taped to the dash with my registration and proof of insurance in it. You might want to do that. This particular bag has been keeping my docs high and dry for 12 years.
What rim diameter do you need? I just bought a set of tall & skinny old-school bias ply mud and snow tires for my 1953 (Power King Super Traction II). I bought 15x5 trailer rims with the correct bolt pattern and center hole (5x5-1/2 w/ 4-1/4 center hole) from etrailer.com. If you want to contact me, these 15x8's I’m…
In Michigan, if you rear-end someone, it’s very likely that you’re going to get a ticket for following too close causing an accident.
You know, real cars, that you or I could go buy down at a car lot. Purpose engineered tube chassis wheeled thingies with specially built highly controlled/spec’d engines/transmissions/suspensions and are vaguely shaped like automobiles with stickers to make them resemble the actual real car they are ‘based’ on are…
Let me know when the story is who is faster/better/has more luck than who again. Actually, let me know if they ever revert to driving real cars again. THAT is something I would watch.
