Training for Jade Helm 2017

I’ll catch some hate for this, but I can’t understand why anyone is still watching these. I dropped out after TF&TF 1.

Keep in mind that the roofs of most modern CUV type thingies are not rated to carry ANY load. Such is the case for my Ford Edge and my Chevy Equinox. Expect dents if you put any kind of weight in a bag like this. The roof racks are rated for a marginal amount (I think 100#), but the roof is actually quite flimsy.

How low would you be willing to let your battery get out in the field before calling it quits and driving 20 minutes back to the barn with two full grain carts in tow?

Tractors also get stuck out in terrible locations inaccessible to most other vehicles. Interesting that they cite a road range. What would be more useful is an estimate of acreage that could be tilled or planted on one charge. And if they think that the public has range anxiety regarding electric cars, I think that

As an owner of a Ford Edge and Chevrolet Equinox, call me unsatisfied. I look at the inside of the larger CUVs like the Flex, Explorer, Durango, and Acadia/Traverse and see all sorts of features you’re forced to buy that I don’t want. I feel like the Grinch bitching about jingtinglers, floofloovers, tartookas,

I’ll be laughing as I pass your rebadged Opel carrying 8 sheets of 3/4" plywood with the rear door closed and towing a popup camper.

#2: The original owner’s manual for a 1930's McCormick Deering 22-36 tractor (7L inline 4) instructs you to drain the oil into a bucket every night and to bring it inside to keep it warm to ensure easy starting the following morning.

Meh, another station wagon that will be priced too high for the everyman to buy. Where’s the modern version of a 1984 Caprice wagon at?

Which is wholly protected by the Great Lakes Compact. Plus you’d have to get the Canadian gov on board (as Ontario and Quebec are parties to the Great Lakes Compact).

I dunno. They seem to have lots of gas stations in Flint.

Let’s ask California how much of their water they’re willing to divert to fuel use now.

Because it would be drawing massive quantities of water turning it into hydrogen, moving that hydrogen out of the basin, and dumping most of that water (in the form of recombined H2O) elsewhere.

Not gonna happen. The Great Lakes Compact (2008) prevents diversions of Great Lakes water outside the basin. Plus you have a number of states in the SW that, last time I checked, were having trouble producing enough water for people, livestock, and agriculture operation much less turning it into a fuel source.

Soooo, who’s got a bunch of extra unsalted water they’d like to convert to fuel?

Don’t need seaworthiness if you have faith, man!

I know nothing about this, but thought it was appropriate to post:

I wonder if he could rent the Hoffmann from the Lane Motor Museum for a few weeks for $10K. That’ll certainly make his congregation wonder. Torch can teach him how to not die in it.
