They’ve always had women and gay writers. In their heyday, the “Playboy Interview” was the gold standard of journalistic interviews. They’ve always taken liberal political stances (including on women’s rights and lgbt rights). The publisher was a woman for over 20 years (Christie Hefner).

Actually, I think the term consensual objectification might be useful in the here and now. This is a world where “thirst trap” means something, and it’s not about dangling a water bottle over a pit of vipers.

Through the decades, the writing in Playboy has actually been quite good.  This isn’t some huge departure.  

I have no opinion about the music, but I think the fashion of wearing a chain link fence is doomed.

But if that isn’t an option, then do the bare minimum and take an hour or two out of one day out of every two years and go vote for the person who’s closest to what you want and/or against the person who’s trying to fuck up your community.

If you legitimately believe neither party has your best interests at heart, why reward either one with your vote?
