Or just about any murder mystery dinner. Interactive storytelling like this isn’t new, but the scale was absurdly ambitious and the razor’s edge that would require Disney to ride to ensure everything worked properly and profitably should have been obvious. The sorts of failures that are just a minor bummer with theme

You might be underestimating the locked-in psychological hold this particular musical has on women of a certain age who are now old enough to want to drag their own kids to see it. I don’t mind splitting it up either. I love the music, but the story of the musical cuts so much necessary material from the McGuire book

What, they couldn’t get Dunkin’ to partner with them and do a pre-licked donut promotion?

This meandering essay does not resemble a movie review.

Look, I’m glad they let you out the house to watch a movie, and that it had an impact on you, but I’m the head editor for a content writing agency in real life, and I swear, if an article like this crossed my desk it’d go straight to another writer to rewrite.

I have never known less about a movie after reading a review than I have about this movie after reading this review.

Based on the review, I can say for certain it’s a movie.

I actually didn’t like Dune 1 until after I saw Dune 2 because it’s not a complete freakin’ story!

She’s an awful narcissist. She really doesn’t have any redeeming qualities and really isn’t even that good of a writer.

I actually totally understand hiding the fact that it’s a two-part thing. People are put off by it and will simply wait for the second one to come out so they can see both. You can see by the big outrage of people after Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse ended on a cliffhanger, or the underperforming sales of Mission

(theatre school nerd here) Into The Woods is actually a longer stage show than Wicked. Yet that was one film.

When it’s MCU tho I sort half-forgive it because putting the entire film in the trailers is a smart way to let parents who take their kids know exactly what they’re in for. It’s smart.

Go watch the main trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming and tell me that isn’t every major beat of the film. We see the ferry scene we see Tony take the suit away and it ends with footage of the final fight with Vulture. That one instance was maddening.

Who is all this secrecy for? Most people who are going to see Wicked already know it’s a musical. The rest of its potential audience are people who are going to see it because it’s a prequel to The Wizard of Oz....which was ALSO a musical.

Look up any YouTube clip of Aiden screaming “YOU BROKE MY HEART” at Carrie. Not one of the commenters takes her side. He was good to her, and she cheated on him. All she does is ramble about how much she misses him and overlooks the obvious. He throws that simple truth in her face and runs off like a coward. Carrie

Recent increases in the fragility of masculinity making men even more afraid of musicals?

Agree on Grande, but I’m also a little skeptical of the pairing as a whole. I wasn’t getting much comedy out of that odd coupling between the two characters. I’m getting “tragic” from Erivo, but not so much the “grump” that’s supposed to play off of Galinda.  As much as I’m complaining, I’m sure I’ll see it and I’ll

Amy Winehouse was extremely popular when she was alive. “Rehab” and “You Know I’m No Good” were all huge hits, and she had many other well known songs including “Back to Black” and her cover of “Valerie” with Mark Ronson.

Back to Black is a really good album, you should check it out.
