I hope Matt Berry wins.

You will find him outside of Panucci’s Pizza.

So that rat catching dog was still hanging out by his master’s rotting body in King’s Landing. I need this season to end with him being adopted by someone and living out his days peacefully running around the golden fields of The Reach because he’s the goodest boy.

Hey, I’m one of the first guys to clock whether a movie passes Bechdel, but I really don’t think a movie about Roman gladiators is where I’d go to find nuanced gender politics.

“ARE YOU NOT EN2TAINED?”

Well, his character from the movie is quite dead.

Now playing

John Madden never did get a chance to make a cameo in Game of Thrones. Not many people know this, but he was quite the avid D&D player!

I really felt for Maelys. Rhaenys is like “once more into battle, old friend!” and she’s probably thinking like “oh, ok I haven’t roasted humans in ages.” Then when she got there and was commanded to fight Sunfyre she must have been like “wtf is this shit!?”

I am older now (obviously) than when I watched GoT - more emotional instead of more cynical, though.

His Valyrian steel armour kept him from burning to death and Sunfyre shielded him with her own body as they fell (and didn’t quite die, BTW). Aegon still isn’t in great shape or have a high life expectancy, though.

Story-wise, it would end the war too soon if he died now. And his dragon isn’t dead.

Those poor dragons. All that crying and shrieking as they’re forced to fight, terrible. Dragons should be free and loved.

Parenting grades for the episode:

You could argue that it’s Aemond who jeopardized everything. Not keeping Aegon in the loop on what the plans were while openly insulting him in his court and then outright attacking him as he did.

I’ll give Ser Criston his flowers, it was a good plan. Too bad his idiot boss had to jeopardize everything.

Just finished it. Absolutely loved it. The final scene between Rhaenyra and Alicent was as good as anything ever written in GoT. Good writing, good directing and fantastic acting.

Dumb and dumber wrote some of the best episodes of GoT including many things that *were not* in the books.
While seasons 7 and 8 (and 7 in particular, much more than 8) were subpar, the fault ultimately reposes on GRRM shoulders who paint himself into a corner and has not been able to continue the story for 13 years.

This is the man who gave us Grover, Elmo, Oscar, and Kermit Tully.

God, I’m so fucking tired of relentlessly exhausting orange fuckball.

Yep, she was in line right behind the big huge manly men who weep giant manly tears because Trump saved America.
