JD Salinger was a wonderful writer and a very weird, creepy man. And yes, the cottage industry that is dedicated to preserving his privacy and his myth is ridiculous.

Never could get into the book, and I couldn’t get past 4 episodes of the show. This one just didn’t do it for me, despite the stellar performances by the cast. Some stories are just like that. *shrug*

Agreed on the pacing and also the dialogue. Some of the exchanges, especially between Camille and Richard, were painfully bad.

Love the book and Big Little Lies was awesome but this series was a major letdown.
