@Canuck Chinaman: Lexus could have had a contender against the Saab 9-2X, but when they added the IS 250AWD in 2006 they dropped the IS SportCross model. The alleged HS250h/Camry hybrid powertrain is not AWD. So the Audi A3 quattro continues to have no competitors except limited-availability VW Golf R3x models.

@Shamoononon, Vampire Grater: It's much safer in a crash not to have a steering column near your chest. The airbag's requirement to decelerate you before you slam into the steering wheel makes it more dangerous.

It's hard to believe this and the Ferrari California are by the same company. Probably the biggest split in design since the Lexus SC 400 and SC 430. From the side this looks like it's being sucked into the ground.

The 2004-2009 Prius was also a midsize car.
