making it an all-round talent for a unique experience in everyday life

The Quantum Technologies web site says:

I liked it in purple from above without the white guys. I hope Pimp My Ride 2011 (Ed Begley Jr. in da house) makes a true EV-1 style aerodynamic nose for it.

@Benson2175: I'll pollute out of my ass. Take that you green freaks, I hope you rot in hell.

Heavy metal version of the screaming clarinet intro to George Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue"!

Actually, the article says "Would you be interested in a Proton Persona powered by 100% electric power for about RM80k?". I think 80,000 Malaysian Ringgit is $23,400 USD. But that's not a Lotus Elise but a little compact that costs between RM 45K and RM 55K with a gasoline engine, so the BEV premium is around $9000,

@FrankRizzo opined: When it ... costs the SAME as the gas powered version, let me know, until then, meh.

Yet car companies won't sell Americans the small-engine models available everywhere else in the world. Audi A3 1.4 TFSI, BMW 125i or 120d, M-Benz C 180 Kompressor? No dice. If you want to add lightness, a smaller engine is a good place to start.

I think it looks great: the frames, the satin glass countertop, the all-glass sideboard; and has some technical advances like the self-closing and touch-to-open doors. I considered Poggenpohl a few years ago but went with bulthaup system 25 in black oak because it was a better purer design; this is comparable or

The new SL's headlights are awful. "Fried egg on lego block gets smeared over top of fender".

And yet again the media and Jalopnik commentators miss the environment for the trees by focusing on fuel economy and running costs. Polluting less is of value to some car buyers regardless of the cost of gas, therefore cars that pollute less can command a premium. Therefore a car that pollutes less will cost more

@P161911: GM owned Lotus Engineering from 1986 to 1993, I'm sure this Corvette is using the Lotus hydraulic active suspension. The Lotus system was better in some ways than magneto-rheological because it could actually reposition the car and push or pull the wheels instead of just controlling rebound.

Twould be so awesome if the DeLorean's stainless schteel ran right up to the headlights instead of ending in that horrible gray plastic cap unworthy of a GM J car. I bet some sheikh has a DeLorean with the Aston-Martin Lagonda's knife-edge panels, or a Lagonda with DeLorean stainless panels.

You could fit an Acura RDX grille into the same inverted pentagon shape. SUV styling is so tired and devoid of ideas.

@not4one: I saw two Magnums yesterday, one in pearlescent ivory on 20"s, and a more sedate charcoal black one. I think people will find wagons cool and functional. I hope they all do well.

@Invective: I'm no economist, but it's doesn't feel like a false market. For everyone selling a futures contract for oil at $5 or $6/gallon, there's a willing buyer.

Audi has seen the light and announced the A3 2.0T DSG Quattro for 2009, instead of forcing a 3.2 V6 on us just to get AWD. But Audi is still behind the curve, they should offer the 1.8T or even the 1.4TFSI in the USA. I'll downshift into third to get over mountain passes, just like the old days before 200 horsepower

Looks like Mazda is still trying to move the Miata towards the excellent 2003 Ibuki concept car. I wish back then they'd gone with that design over the current car, despite the lukewarm response.

Dang, I'm late to the party again...
