its no more part of the problem than the tools he was using to photobash other artists work before

I mean based on the article it sounds like this guy has been taking the laziest route with his art for a while (the accusation of photobashing) and so this was bound to happen eventually and that it’s less of a case of Generative AI is bad (as this article contends) and more so a case of This Artist is Bad and

I’m glad artists are experimenting with new technologies for creating art, and it’s a pity they keep getting punished for it because of the negative response from a bunch of perpetually-online assholes on social media.

This Who has no sense to it - things happen and unhappen, characters pop in and vanish, dire words are spoken with no follow up, dangers are waved in front of the characters and then simply waved away. There are better written cartoons by the score, with solid characters and real emotional beats. This Who has no such

Like basically every season of NuWho the performance of The Doctor was significantly better than the material they were provided with*. In general, the writing was better than the Chibnall seasons, and the production level was MUCH better than the Chibnall seasons. But some of Davies most annoying ticks as a

What about the Not-A-Borg and Blue-Not-Darth-Maul versions seen only on screen in last week's epsiode?

yeah the big issue with the boys comics is that at it's core according to the author himself it is pent up frustration and angst at being snubbed by marvel and DC. a lot of it is very shock factor edgeloard stuff that really doesn't work nowadays.

where did the Transformers movie comparison come from?

Holy COW! Clark Gregg in Snowpiercer!!!

The “Black Noir was an evil(er) clone of Homelander” was always a stupid twist, made even more stupid by the fact that Homelander was still evil! Just less morally responsible for how evil he was. It was abjectly stupid. Then again a lot of The Boys comic was like that: snippets of clever ideas mired in stupid

“I wanted to do this emotionally messed-up version of Batman...

not to be mean but regardless of how gruesome transformers is for an animated kids movie, the fact that that was your reference point for gore and violence suggests yah the boys was never gonna be your cuppa

Black Mirror’s 2nd season had one about a guy that died and he was replaced by an AI that could make phone calls, but then it progressed to a guy she could rehydrate in a tub and it was sort of like an android that was like the dead guy. It was sad with a few uplifting parts.

If someone in the house has a severe accident, the responding emergency medical personnel will get peppered with paintballs. Same for fire fighters responding to a house fire.

sometimes I think Paul Dini is the real reason behind Batman TAS’s success

One of the few missteps of the old DCAU.

Bruce Timm gets a lot of leeway with me because BTAS is such a definitive take on so many of these characters, but I really dislike the “Bruce Wayne is just a performance, only Batman is real” take. Much like with Superman, I think Batman actually has three identities - (1) Batman, obviously; (2) a Bruce Wayne who is

Yeah, I read the comic when it was new for a while, but eventually I just gave up because it was so mean. Not just the violence, though partly that, but it was just so relentlessly cynical that I realized it just wasn't fun to read.

Delivery driver: “Ok, that’s $60 for 5 pizzas, delivering to xxx address. I’ll be there in 30 minutes.”

Is this some kind of joke?  I can see that bullshit going sideways.  the liability on something like that is enormous.
