I was born in ‘86. my first FF game was the first one on NES. (Which I was terrible at because I was like, three or four years old.) and pretty much had the same experience as yours. And I fully agree that this carbuncle is hideous.

I knew they were going to screw up the remake. But I didn’t anticipate this form of screwing up at all. Who could look at these things and say “Yes, this is perfect. Use this to advertise out game.”

Not sure about companies, but there are some games that do. For example, the moment the developers of OneShot were informed people who were colorblind couldn’t do some of the puzzles, they promised to immediately fix this. In less than a week a new patch came out that added a colorblind toggle.

You should try playing Skyrim with a keyboard and mouse. Its so much easier than a controller. Also if you get the Slow Time shout early on, which is pretty easy to do, it would make the combat a lot less stressful.

It would’ve been easier, faster, cheaper and smarter just to actually address the claim in the first place. But then, being racist is illogical so we can’t count on them to make sane decisions.

Mystic Quest is easily the weakest FF title on the SNES, and one of the weakest square RPGs from the era. But its actually a much better game than most SNES games. It’s just when you try to compare it to the other Square RPGs, and especially FF4 and 6, it does look rather weak.

FF12 is my least favorite, and its for the actual reason you mentioned. I absolutely hate it when games give me a party and then doesn’t let me control them. Sure, 12 pretended you could control them all, but lets be honest here. It was obvious they didn’t want you to.

Seems like “Right to repair” actually means “Right to stop people from repairing.” just like “right to work” means “Right to fire people whenever you want, for no reason.” Maybe we should stop electing people making these laws. Which party makes these laws again?

OneShot. If you’ve played it, you know why. If not, then you should play it. It’s an experience.

Ive seen many games like this come, and all have fallen. Pokemon is the highest grossing media franchise of all time, and this stands no chance of beating it. Sooner or later something will, of course. Nothing lasts forever. But it’s not going to be Temtem.

wouldnt it be great if 2019 was the year that game developers finally came to understand that if they half-ass their games, people get mad about it?

And to think, if they had just been nice about the whole thing, none of it would’ve happened. Most of us are totally willing to forgive a mistake, even a big one, so long as the people in charge make it right.
