Just so you know, you can tell Facebook when you don’t want to see a certain type of ad. Click on the three dots in the corner and select ‘hide ad.’ I always give the reason as ‘doesn’t apply to me’ or whatever it says in that vein. Stopped me getting all political ads and also annoying Peloton ads.

Yep, I hooked up VCRs, game consoles, a cable box, even a DVD player at one point. And then I started work doing video editing and I used it as an external video output monitor. A very versatile piece of equipment!

I was lucky- we had an Apple II at home and my grandparents across town had a C-64, so I got a lot of gaming in. I had Law of the West on my Apple II, not the C-64. Same game though. Also no documentation, but I figured out the gun thing pretty quickly as I recall.

I still have a 1701 monitor. I don’t really know what to do with it, but I used it for so many years as a TV monitor for other things long after the C-64 got shelved, so I’d hate to get rid of it.
